Hey everybody, welcome to the fourth installment of Producer of the Week, where I take a producer and tell you guys about them and expose you to their music.

This week's producer is KeepitACnote

About KeepitACnote

Corey Brookshire Jr., aka KeepitACnote, is a 24 year old producer born and raised out New Haven Connecticut. Corey had been producing music for almost 10 years now, starting back in 2010. It was when Corey started to hang out with a family friend who was an artist that he would be introduced to making music. This family friend would produce, record, and engineer himself as well as other artists and Corey was instantly hooked and asked if he could learn from him. He would introduce Corey to FL studio and from then on the rest is history.

KeepitACnote's Style

Corey's produces hip hop, trap, and r&b music and takes inspiration from producers such as Timbaland, Just Blaze, 40,  Wondagurl/Eestbound, Boi1da, and Kanye West. He provides interesting and bouncy drum patterns inspired by Timbaland and Wondagirl over melodic and unique melodies. Wielding FL Studio 12, and sometimes Logic, as his DAWs, Cnote is able to create innovative grooves that are sure to get your head bobbing back and forth.

KeepitaCnote's Goals and Advice

Corey's vision with with producing career is to create an endless amount of hit records and create timeless music and wants others to do the same. His advice to the producer community is to

"Always have patience with creating. It takes time to get to where you want to be so enjoy the journey. Never be afraid to step outside the box and do different things. It is there that the true hit records be and real growth is achieved. Ask questions and use the internet as a reference/guide. We live in a time where any information is at the tip of our fingers, so use it and excel."
